This is my draft magazine cover.
I wanted it to be close to what I want my final cover to look like. My chosen Genre is 'Indie rock' so The title of the magazine I chose was 'V!ntage' I felt it gave an indie vibe. I chose to use red, black and white as the theme throughout the front cover as it would stand out on the shelve of a shop. I put the bar code in the bottom right as I felt the reader would not really be interested in that so put it furthest away from the picture. The picture I used was black and white which goes with the theme of the front cover. I wanted to keep the front page as simple as possible to give it a stylish and classic look and to not overwhelm the reader with writing.
I used 'The UK's most obscure magazine' as my strap line as it will attract readers that don't like listening to the music that are in the charts or that everyone else listens to.
The sell lines I used were fairly simple so it makes the reader more intrigued to read the articles inside.
The look that I am going for in my final magazine cover is more like the NYLON magazine as it looks a lot more professional. I really want to try and experiment with colour and how the text is situated behind the model.
